Reasons to volunteer
- Experience. Learn about wood-working, sewing, technical operations, project management, leadership, organization, and more.
- Be part of something. It’s a great feeling to see a show open that you played a part in.
- Make friends. There are plenty of friendly people who will always greet you with a smile and are happy to see you.
- Community Service. Maybe you want to get extra credit in school, add to your resume, or just give back.
Volunteers with good customer service skills and computer experience assist the Box Office with ticket sales and general event information. Scheduled based on your availability.
Many of our events require volunteers for various jobs. Responsibilities can include ushering, handling concession sales, bartending, working at information and will-call tables, etc. When you volunteer for particular events, you are always welcome you to stay and enjoy that event. As needed.
Help us spread the word about our events by delivering marketing materials such as posters, flyers, and brochures to businesses in Franklin and surrounding areas – as far are you are willing to travel. (This is a perfect excuse for a road trip.) As needed.
Office duties typically include organizing files, scanning documents, making copies, etc. As needed.
Join our tech crew. Working backstage under the direction of our Technical Director, opportunities include operating lightboards, soundboards, and other equipment. As needed.
We are always looking for experienced individuals to help behind-the-scenes. Come and help build, paint, and construct sets and prop pieces for an upcoming performance. As needed.
